As we get more questions about TPMPrime, we’ll be answering them here.
What is TPMPrime?
TPMPrime is our premier membership site geared toward the most engaged, passionate TPM readers who visit TPM multiple times a day. With a Prime membership, you will gain access to regular discussions with TPM reporters and key outside policy experts and politicians, an editorial corner where we discuss the editorial and publishing direction of the organization, members-only forums free of fly-by commenters and trolls, and deep-dive reports on critical issues downloadable to your e-reader. We will also host members-only events. Our goal is to cater to our core audience of readers, the ones who helped make TPM what is is today and who are a crucial part of the future of the organization.
What does TPMPrime cost?
An annual membership is $50. In the coming weeks, we will roll out a monthly subscription deal.
Is TPMPrime a paywall?
No. The content that is available now will always be available for non-members and members alike.
How come the username and password I created are not signing me into TPMPrime?
To login, use the email address associated with your account rather than the username you created; your username will publicly display when you comment, etc., but for login purposes, you need to submit your email address and the password you used to sign up. That should bring you to a page that says, “TPMPrime will launch on October 15, 2012.”
I saw Josh’s post on purchasing multiple subscriptions. How can I do this?
We are in the process of implementing this feature. As of right now, readers can only purchase one annual subscription, however by the time we officially launch TPMPrime, you will be able to purchase multiple subscriptions. If you would like to be notified when this feature is available, please email TPMPrime [at] talkingpointsmemo.com
I am looped back to the subscription page when I try to log into my TPMPrime account. Why can't I log in?
If you have an ad blocker installed, you'll have to whitelist TPMPrime. Also, there is a plug-in called "ghostery" that limits access to TPMPrime, so you will have to uninstall that to see comments. If neither of these options work, try clearing your cookies to log in.
How can I apply for a free subscription?
Email TPMPrime [at] talkingpointsmemo.com to be notified when we implement a protocol for applying for free subscriptions.
I live outside the United States. Can I still sign up for TPMPrime?
As of right now we only accept American credit cards, but stay tuned for a solution prior to our official launch.
I did not realize that my credit card would be automatically auto-renewed when I purchased a TPMPrime account. How can I reverse this?
Once Prime is launched you will be able to reverse this within the interface. However if you would like us to reverse this now, please email TPMPrime [at] talkingpointsmemo.com
Will TPMPrime be ad free?
The main hub of TPMPrime will be free of advertisements, however the main TPM site will remain the same.
How do I know my credit card information is secure?
TPMPrime processes subscription payments through spreedly.com. You will be taken to their site to enter your data. After you complete your payment information with spreedly.com you will be able to return to TPMPrime with your subscription activated and ready to use. We accept payments from Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
Can I use HTML in my posts on TPMPrime?
As of right now, use of HTML in Prime posts is limited. You can refer to Disqus’ HTML tagging guidelines and use those in your posts.
